The University of Oulu has been one of the main sponsors of Oulu Pride in 2021, 2022 and 2023. People are able to participate in pride parade in the group of the University of Oulu. University of Oulu also has a presentation point(a tent) at the park party organized in Hollihaka park. During the park party book and article recommendations are shared about LGBTQA+ themes. The work of Gender Studies group of the University of Oulu is also presented there. The event and the University's tent get a lot of positive attention each year.
