UNIC Research Ethics Policy
UNIC established a UNIC Ethics Committee to uphold the ethics principles set out in this project. This committee includes representatives partner institutions and is responsible for ethical breaches concerning all UNIC activities, including the research activities of UNIC4ER. The representatives have the most up-to-date information on the ethical principles in their respective countries and the main European standards and procedures. Ethics principles over the UNIC project ensure sufficient awareness of the principles and protocols across partner institutions.
All research initiatives carried out under UNIC will adhere to the fundamental principles of research integrity set out in the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity, including:
- Reliability in ensuring the quality of research, reflected in the design, methodology, analysis and use of resources;
- Honesty in developing, undertaking, reviewing, reporting and communicating research in a transparent, fair, full and unbiased way;
- Respect for colleagues, research participants, society, ecosystems, cultural heritage and the environment;
- Accountability for the research from idea to publication, for its management and organization, for training, supervision and mentoring and for its wider impacts.

Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. the UNIC website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
