CityLabs: Resilient Zagreb, Phase II

29/06/2021 13:41 - 30/06/2021 13:41

Virtual Meeting Platform Organised by University of Zagreb, Croatia And University College Cork, Ireland

June 29 and 30, 2021 Online

You are cordially invited to the second phase of Zagreb CityLabs. In this CityLabs event, we will generate innovative, relevant and applicable solutions for urban issues.

During the first pop-up CityLabs event (phase I), which included more than 20 hours of virtual discussions with 184 participants and over 260 participations, the strong resilient capacities of the city of Zagreb were recognised. However, there are detected areas in which resilience could and should be strengthened.  In the coming CityLabs phase II event, we explore the following areas:

1. Lack of comprehensive crisis management system starting from risk prevention to recovery, and lack of vision for future development

2. Inadequate crisis communication

3. Insufficient sensitivity for vulnerable social groups and lack of inclusive perspective in crisis management system

4. Insufficient knowledge, skills and mindset, both for citizens and generalist professionals on how to deal with crisis, prevent risks and activate numerous resources.
