Welcome to Cork!

Cork and UNIC's Centre for City Futures

Our Centre for City Futures Cork team leverage the power of collaboration locally and across the alliance network for best impact in our City. We welcome new city and research collaborations and invite you to connect with us to explore possibilities for developing partnership initiatives.

City-Led Challenges that are currently in focus in Cork are:

  • EU Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission - Cork City Council
  • City Centre Revitalisation
  • Re-Designing the Post-Industrial City

  • CityLabs - Connect and Co-Create

Our CityLabs activities provide opportunities for diverse groups to connect and co-create. Some of the things we have worked on include:

  • Public engagement for City Policy – Local Economic and Community Plan
  • ‘Collaborations for Successful City Partnerships’ – Supporting City Centre Symposium workshop with over 50 city centre stakeholders to map existing partnerships and collaborations and identify priority City Challenges for Collaboration.
  • Pioneering transdisciplinary training through CityLabs in the Curriculum
