Over 130 people registered to attend this online event from across the UNIC alliance. The event ran during the week of, and complemented the proceedings of the UNIC for Engaged Research Strategy Forum hosted by University College Cork. Over 80 City and University stakeholders convened in Cork for this in-person fourm towards to developing a common framework and supportive systems for involving and engaging citizens, civil society, public & city authorities and academia in joint research and innovation initiatives.
Towards this ambition, the focus of the Engaged Research Strategy Forum was to jointly develop and co-create a draft Declaration on Engaged Research, in advance of signing by the eight University Presidents and City Leaders on June 15th 2022 at the CityLabs Festival in Oulu, Finland.
