UNIC Publishes a Handbook on Physical and Virtual Mobility

The UNIC Centers for Teaching and Learning and the UNIC International Offices have compiled the most important references on mobility settings at universities, and created the UNIC Handbook on Physical and Virtual Mobility.

UNIC supports mobility, digitalisation, international teaching cooperation and intercultural inclusive learning. To promote that, the Centres of Teaching and Learning of UNIC universities compiled their ideas of intercultural teaching cooperation in the UNIC Handbook on Physical and Virtual Mobility.

The handbook provides good practices on how to implement intercultural diversity in teaching. Examples of practice from all UNIC partner universities are featured in the handbook. International teaching settings are presented in four categories: physical mobility, virtual mobility, blended mobility and Virtual Exchange. Virtual Exchange is an excellent format to achieve high-level learning outcomes in an international context.

Additionally, teams from the eight UNIC International Offices support the handbook by providing practical tips for planning and financing international physical and virutal mobility opportunities. The handbook includes an overview of funding programmes for staff mobility, as well as the most common student exchange programmes.

The UNIC Alliance is a strives to intensify networking and cooperation activities in teaching at its universities. Therefore, a series of Virtual Exchange workshops are available for teachers to learn more about the methods and intercultural learning in a higher-education teaching context.
