The UNIC Series of Open Entrepreneurship Courses “Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Nexus” (GEIN) is your gateway to hands-on experience, interdisciplinary collaboration, and cutting-edge knowledge.

Expand your Entrepreneurship horizon through open online courses across different UNIC universities. Together, they offer you the flexibility to explore technology-based, social, and emerging forms of entrepreneurship — fully online, across Europe.


These courses are open to Bachelor, Master, and PhD students from all UNIC partner universities.


You can visit one course or choose several courses. You will receive a UNIC certificate for participation and if applicable ECTS, by arrangement with your home faculty.


Technology Entrepreneurship (at Ruhr University Bochum)


Open for 5 UNIC Students – Starting October 2026


Term: Winter Semester 2026/2027

Format: Fully online, including final assessment (remote option for UNIC students abroad)

Social Entrepreneurship (at University of Zagreb)


Online course with weekly virtual classes


Starting: 22.02.2027, End date: 05.06.2027

Dive into the world of social entrepreneurship and innovation. This course gives you the tools to design, finance, and evaluate sustainable social enterprises.

 Originally designed for University of Lodz students, this academy is now open to all! In collaboration with the Siostry ADiHD (ADHD Sisters) — alumnae who started their first business as students — you’ll get unique insights into the entrepreneurial journey.

Entrepreneurship and Emerging Technologies (at University of Oulu)


Flexible online format – 2026/27 academic year

The self-paced course is available twice between 1) 26.10.2026 - 31.12.2026 and 2) 15.03.2027 - 09.05.2027

Explore entrepreneurship in the context of blockchain and emerging technologies. This course combines entrepreneurial skills with applied business case studies.


Structure:

  • Part I: Introduction to blockchain as a business enabler
  • Part II: Business case analysis methods
  • Part III: Applied blockchain-enabled business case study

Entrepreneurial Competencies for Landscape Restoration (Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and Commonland)

 

Flexible online format – 2026/27 academic year


Explore the vital importance of healthy ecosystems and landscapes for business, and to explore the contribution business and management thinking can bring to large-scale landscape restoration. This online course combines entrepreneurial skills with Sustainable Landscape Restoration.


Structure:

  • Module 1: Introduction to landscape restoration
  • Module 2: Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Module 3: 4 returns Landscape Business Model canvas
  • Module 4: Business model discovery process
  • Module 5: Problem discovery and validation – part 1
  • Module 6: Problem discovery and validation – part 2
  • Module 7: Solution development and validation
  • Module 8: Investment readiness level – business view
  • Module 9: Investment readiness level – landscape view
  • Module 10: Final reflection


✔ Learn how to develop entrepreneurial skills regardless of your background as a landscape practitioner

  • After the acceptance of participation, enroll via the respective university’s Moodle/learning platform.
  • Receive a UNIC certificate! Please contact your home faculty to clarify if an additional ECTS recognition is possible.
