This CityLabs Lightning Bites series features short, impactful talks from diverse perspectives, addressing the critical challenges and opportunities in promoting sustainable and regenerative tourism practices.



Join us for three days of bite-size talks where we explore how integrating green spaces into urban environments not only enhances the beauty and livability of our cities but also significantly improves the physical and mental well-being of residents.

  • 13:30-14:00: Iskra Alexandra Nola, University of Zagreb, “Environmental (in)justice: gentrification” 


Wednesday November 27:  

  • 13:00-13:30: Natalia Ratajczyk, Michał Zadara, University of Lodz, “400 m2 of hope – art and science for nature and human well-being" 

  • 13:30-14:00: Martin de Jong, Erasmus University Rotterdam, The pros and cons of city branding: Why city labels can be used to trigger sustainable urban development, but are often above for window dressing purposes
