Partners in the UNIC alliance, the Universities of Malmö and Liège have more than one thing in common. This year, the two institutions have decided to join forces as part of ULiège's "Quinzaine du Climat" (Climat Weeks), which coincides with "Climate Action Week" at the University of Malmö.

Anna Bruun Månsson, Sustainability Strategist at Malmö University, was in Liège on November 21, 2024 to take part in a round table discussion and share her experience of collaboration between the University and the City of Malmö on sustainability issues. Linnea Folkesson (Process manager, Climate Transition) from the City of Malmö also took part in the discussion. The City of Liège was represented by its project manager Whitney Bader.

This initiative reinforces one of the pillars of UNIC, since the links between universities and the territories in which they are located is at the heart of our European University. The event follows the consortium's annual conference whose theme was "Crossing the Silos and Engaging with Cities".
