As part of the soil mission and the HORIZON-MISS-2023-SOIL-01-08 call, the University of Liège is coordinating a project proposal for the creation of a network of Living Labs and Lighthouses across 8 European countries dedicated to the regeneration of soils degraded by industrial activities. The consortium involves 36 partners from 11 European countries and over 100 stakeholders. To strengthen the project's ecosystem and impact, the consortium has joined forces with the UNIC network through the UNIC 4 Engaged Research action. Synergies are demonstrated by the involvement of partners from the University College of Cork, as well as non-academic stakeholders in Bilbao and Rotterdam. These will help set up the living labs and Lighthouses, and promote the engagement of citizens in local communities.
