The UNIC CityLabs ‘Lightning Bites’ Series provided 30min lightning bites online: short talks from diverse perspectives and addressing the societal challenge themes faced by our cities in transition, accompanied by on-site interactive activities (e.g., polls, questions, crowdsourcing activities, exhibitions, or events). They provide a platform to cross-fertilize thinking and action across the alliance. Through the CityLabs ’Lightning Bites’ series we invited speakers to share their experience, expertise and ideas for action, and invited wider campus/public engagement with the topic through interactive experiences on campus or in the city.

Dr. Ferah Özer, representing the Koç University Office of Teaching and Learning (KOLT), delivered a captivating and informative presentation during the seminar. Her expertise and insights into the integration of AI tools like ChatGPT into educational practices left a lasting impression on the attendees. Dr. Özer's contribution was instrumental in highlighting the practical applications of ChatGPT and its potential to transform teaching and learning methods. The seminar titled "Embedding ChatGPT" witnessed an impressive turnout, with a total of 152 participants from various UNIC partners in attendance. This diverse group included students, academics, and researchers, all eager to explore the potential of ChatGPT in the context of higher education. Their collective engagement and enthusiasm added richness to the discussions and ensured a holistic perspective on the subject, making the seminar a truly collaborative and enlightening experience for all involved.
