In this workshop, you will meet university educators from partner universities of the UNIC Alliance, based in Belgium, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey. This international setting will engage you with different phases of the agile project management process by working collaboratively in groups. You will plan and brainstorm tasks necessary for completing a hypothetical sustainability project and practice prompt writing with AI tools to ease the project management process. This hands-on experience will help you develop a better understanding of how to design a sustainability project for your students and how to guide them throughout the project management process. At the end of the workshop, two faculty members from Koç University will join the training as guest speakers to share their experiences with project management in sustainability-focused courses.
Goal of the Workshop:
To help faculty members integrate the agile project management process by applying AI tools in their courses with a sustainability-focused learning outcome.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the practices and tools of Agile Project Management.
- Apply certain AI tools to facilitate the project management process in the context of sustainable development.
- Develop ideas for designing and delivering group projects for sustainability-focused courses.
Procedure:
The workshop will not be recorded and it has two parts. Frist, asynchronous Preparation: The first part of this training consists of a 25-minute video shared with participants one week before the training. The video covers theoretical aspects of agile project management, such as knowledge areas, the manifesto of agile, and AI tools to enhance the quality of project management. Second, Synchronous Workshop: The second part of this training is a 90-minute workshop delivered via Zoom. Participants will work in groups to apply the agile project management process with AI tools for a given sustainability project. Attendance at the workshop requires completion of the first part of the training to fully engage in the activities.
